Are there any risks or disadvantages to using Equine Premium?

There are no restrictions on the use of Protexin products.

The Equine Premium range can be fed to any horse in any situation and cannot be overdosed.

Probiotics in the Equine Premium range are specifically developed to survive the transit through the gut and contain no known prohibited substances as defined by the Jockey Club and the FEI.

Equine Premium contains microorganisms commonly found in all healthy birds and animals all of which are GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) rated.

Equine Premium has never been found to be toxic. None of the ingredients used in manufacture will cause irritations or allergic reactions and they all conform to food regulations and are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Since the bacteria from Equine Premium are inactive and inert in excreta there is no persistence of the additive or its residues in faeces and it will not persist in the environment. There are no known adverse effects of Protexin on aquatic life, soil fauna or terrestrial plants.
