Questions
Do probiotics have to be specific to the species?
No. The same and similar organisms are found within the guts of all living animals, including ourselves. These organisms quickly adapt to the environment in which they find themselves on proliferation. The most important feature of a probiotic is that the product is based on a live microbial organism that has been shown to provide a probiotic ability, not all will offer such guarantees.
